The closed terrarium water cycle
A sealed terrarium recycles nearly all of its moisture. Understanding that loop is what turns watering from guesswork into observation.

Light enters
Bright indirect light drives photosynthesis through the glass.

Water evaporates
Moisture leaves the substrate and the leaves as vapour.

Vapour condenses
It cools on the glass and forms droplets on the inner walls.

Water returns
Droplets run back into the substrate, and the loop repeats.
